Mo1Youths
Mo1 Youths Charity works with children and young people aged 5–25 in North Kensington and across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, with a particular focus on young people facing disadvantage, exclusion and barriers to opportunity. Our work supports young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), those with SEND, mental health challenges, and those affected by poverty, trauma or serious youth violence. Through a relationship-led, trauma-informed approach, we provide safe spaces, mentoring, skills development and progression pathways that enable young people to build confidence, gain qualifications and move towards positive futures.
With support from the Lightbulb Trust, Mo1 Youths will strengthen our employability and skills provision, ensuring young people can access accredited training and practical pathways into employment without financial barriers. This support will have an immediate and meaningful impact, including enabling one young person, Walid, to progress onto a Level 3 Plumbing qualification and move closer to sustained employment in a skilled trade. Lightbulb’s investment will also allow us to respond flexibly to individual need, sustain engagement with vulnerable young people, and support clear progression routes into work, apprenticeships and further training. We value Lightbulb Trust as a partner who understands grassroots delivery and the importance of long-term, trust-based funding, and we look forward to sharing learning and impact throughout the grant period.
