Dillon grew up in Shepherd’s Bush in West London and is originally from New Zealand, where he first got involved in youth and community work.
In New Zealand, he worked with Shore Junction, an innovative youth organisation creating a safe, inclusive space for young people to connect and build confidence. This experience sparked his interest in the role community-led spaces can play in supporting young people. Back in the UK, Dillon worked at Beam, a social impact organisation supported by the Lightbulb Trust, helping individuals facing homelessness and other challenges access housing and employment. He also spent time in startup operations before deciding to focus his career more intentionally on social impact.
At The Lightbulb Trust, Dillon is particularly motivated by supporting organisations that create opportunities for young people and by the role strong community networks can play in helping them feel seen, supported, and able to thrive.
