Sociability
Sociability helps disabled people find accessible places. Through their free mobile app and web platform, Sociability empowers disabled people to find detailed, reliable and personalised accessibility information for thousands of local venues across the UK. Founded in 2019 by Matt Pierri, a wheelchair user himself, Sociability works to remove barriers to opportunity and participation for disabled people everywhere. Based in London, UK, Sociability provides accessibility information for more than 15,000 venues across the UK – with almost 10,000 of those in London itself. In the past year, Sociability has seen more than 320,000 searches for accessible places on its platform – and has more than 14,000 registered users to date.
Alongside its public data platform, Sociability also supports leading organisations and institutions to better understand, communicate and improve the accessibility of their premises. Through its enterprise software suite and range of data integrations, Sociability equips leading brands like Arup, Toyota and Westminster City Council to better serve and support its disabled employees, customers and visitors.
Sociability is thrilled to be supported by the Lightbulb Trust on its mission to organise the world’s accessibility information. In particular, with support of the Trust, Sociability is working on using AI to improve the quality and scale of its data collection, as well as to grow its reach and impact across London and the UK.
