Response Community
Since 1978, Response Community Projects has dedicated its service to being a friendly and open-door community centre in the heart of Earl’s Court. Its surrounding areas have a high population of transient families and it is extremely diverse, including pockets of deprivation and wealth. Response Community Projects has been working tirelessly to support local families and fight the underlying causes of systemic poverty.
The local community still feels the impact of Covid-19: bereavement, isolation, loneliness, food insecurity, and stress. Response Community is working with the Lightbulb Trust to fight unemployment, support local children and young people, and the most vulnerable in the community, including people with addiction and in recovery, refugees or asylum seekers, people facing mental health and well-being problems, families on low-income and with English as a second language, and older people experiencing isolation.
