The Design Museum is the world’s leading museum of contemporary design. The Museum presents a unique portfolio of exhibitions, learning activity, public events and online content to showcase design’s vital and pervasive impact.
The Lightbulb Trust is supporting ‘Growing Together’, a new programme seeking to build sustained relationships with local community groups through creation of an age-friendly, intergenerational garden space at the Design Museum.
The project aims to explore how design, as an agent for social change, can support communities in working towards a common goal, place local community groups at the heart of the decision-making process, respond to the needs and concerns of underrepresented groups and create social impact by removing and reducing barriers to participation.
